The beginning

So I am going to try my hand at a little bit of fiction writing.  God knows I read enough trashy romance novels.  I should be able to write like one.  Here goes..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I sprint into the lobby of the building, and luckily I'm just in time to catch the elevator.  It's not an unlikely occurrence that I am sprinting into work at the last second.  In fact, this happens more often than not.  I AM NOT A MORNING PERSON.  Don't get confused though, because I am an extremely hard worker.  I'm normally one of the last people to leave the office.  I guess that's what happens when you love your job.  As I slip into the elevator I notice a very tall muscular guy playing on his phone out of the corner of my eye.  I turn around and face front, digging in my bag for my heels.  I usually change them when I'm at my desk, but since I'm a little later than usual, now will have to do.  I can literally feel the guy behind me looking at me.  It makes the hairs stand up on the back of my head.  I look up after putting my left shoe on to meet his gaze in the reflective wall of the elevator.  He's smirking at me.  Bastard.  "Running a little late are we?", he says as he chuckles.  I just roll my eyes, and luckily I don't have to dignify his comment with a response because the elevator has reached my floor.
As I got off the elevator and the doors closed, I found that I had to stop to catch my breath.  What the fuck was that? I thought.  I was annoyed, but I was also intrigued and turned on.  The man was sexy.  Just the memory of his intense eyes gazing at me with amusement was enough to drench my panties.  No, I thought, I've just been too busy with work and not getting out enough.  With that, I stopped in the break room for some coffee and got ready to start my day.
The rest of the day was pretty typical, jam packed with meetings and decisions to be made. The difference with today was that I found myself daydreaming about the mystery man in the elevator with his toned muscles and intense blue green eyes.  Okay, so I don't know for sure that he had awesome muscles because he was wearing a very expensive looking suit, but a girl can dream.  I decided not to take a break for lunch, which was pretty typical. Instead, I ordered a sandwich around 7 PM after the majority of my staff had left.  I was normally in the office until late anyways.  I mean I love my job and I'd rather be doing this than anything else anyway.  At around 9, I started to finish things up.  I walked down the hall and pushed the button for the elevator, not even the companies receptionist was there at this hour.  Even as I was leaving I was making a mental list of things I wanted to accomplish tomorrow.  My work is truly never done.  Just as the elevator doors slide open, I looked up from my phone and jumped.  Standing there was the guy from this morning.  Same stupid smirk on his face and all.  I must have been stunned because he had to grab the elevator doors to keep them from closing in the time it took me to take the few steps forward into the elevator.
Once inside, I just stood there and stared at him.  What were the chances?  I mean seriously, no one leaves this late.  Plus, I just saw him this morning.  "What are you doing here so late?"  he said.  It took a minute to register he was speaking to me.  My mind was finally picking up on how gorgeous he really was.  I must have missed it this morning.  "Just finishing up a project," I lied.  I really hated telling people what a workaholic I really am.  He smiled and cocked his head to the side.  "Really?" Alright, I was a little annoyed again.  "I could ask you the same thing," I said turning away.  He was really distracting with his intense gaze and gorgeous body.  "Lots of business to take care of today."  That's when it hit me.  I knew who this guy was, not that i'd ever actually met him.  I wasn't high enough in the company to meet the CEO, Jason James.  How could I have missed that?  I'd seen pictures of him when I first started and all the new interns were going on and on about how gorgeous he was.  Well, they were right.  Back then I was much to focused on landing accounts and climbing my way up the ladder to pay attention.  I was lost in my thoughts when the elevator startled me by reaching the ground floor.  "After you," he gestured towards where the doors were opening.  He also held the door to the building open for me.  I was swooning.  It's the little things.  "Have a good night Savannah," He said before smiling at me and getting into his black town car.
How the hell did he know who I was?
